hey i’ve shifted again. i think it should be permanent this time. lol. see me at:

gifts of love
there have been a lot of things going on lately and i’ve got so much to update but for now, i’ll show you the wonderful gifts i’ve received from some of my dearest people around.
gold bangle from wj’s parents. it’s rather vintage looking and i chose it myself as i think it is something i would wear pretty frequently as compared to a gold necklace which they suggested initially. so yea i have really doting future parents-in-law. =D

i am totally in love with this coach poppy patent wristlet. it’s so pretty and it’s a gift from my sweetest cousins, carmen and kellie. carmen and her boyfriend are back in town and we met up last night. so much fun. more on that later. anyway the new coach poppy collection is really fun and cute. go check it out!

photos selection
our wedding photos were ready for selection so wj and i went to the studio yesterday to take our pick. most of them were quite well taken and up to my expectations but of course not every single photo looks great. some had me looking dazed and anorexic while some had wj looking unnatural and weird. lol. we ended up taking an additional photos package which cost an extra $1,500. the package was really attractive with 62 poses (original package had only 36 poses) and 34 pages (original had only 20 pages) and the best deal is they will return us all the raw photos! quite worth it i think. i can’t wait to see the layout of the photos in the album which amanda told me will be ready some time in august.
back for awhile
hey i’ve been back for awhile but i haven’t got the mood to blog about my hcmc trip yet and i have like 461 photos to sort out. anyway, hcmc was a great place with really nice and polite people. i don’t really love vietnamese cuisine though (too much odd and raw leaves) but i love the french and italian food there! i noticed a lot of ang mohs like to go there and open restaurants so i think the food should be quite authentic. will blog more about my gastronomic adventures in hcmc soon. i’m sure i gained more weight after the trip. lol. and yea i was right, there wasn’t much shopping there. i saw mphosis there and the prices were crazy expensive as compared to here. oh oh and we went to the cu chi tunnels and i thought i almost died from claustrophobia.
updates
i’m leaving for hcmc this saturday morning and will not be back until next wednesday and i’ll be on leave for the whole of next week. yay!
and i’m so happy that qiyun’s gonna have a baby girl! whoo hoo! i foresee we’re all going to have lots of fun dolling her up. =D
(edit)
yea i’ve changed my melbourne trip to ho chi minh city instead because of the h1n1 flu virus as wj cannot afford to be away from work for too long in case we need to get quarantined when we return. sigh. but well ho chi minh city will be just as good since we’ve never been there before and it’s going to be a luxury trip (if we go to melbourne, we will be on budget). not shopping that is because i foresee there isn’t much to buy there but we are going to stay at rex hotel and eat french food! looking forward! alrighty, so i’ll blog again when i return. bye!
from the photo shoot

in the midst of the first hairdo. only 50% of the hairdo was my own hair the rest were wigs and i was so fascinated by the wigs!

i actually like the hair like this just simple with the silver strings.

but my hairstylist added a giant flower at the side and my head looked twice the size of yining’s. that’s our photographer behind. i think he was looking at some photos i downloaded into my ipod.

i like the black satin gloves they gave me.

wj looked too boyish i think. what do you think?

second gown and hairdo. super mature! i looked into the mirror and couldn’t recognize myself. once again, wigs played a major role and i finally have this kind of side swept long fringe!

because i couldn’t tolerate myself looking more mature than wj, we thought of this shiny slick back hair in the style of tony leung or robert zhang (that evil man in 小娘惹) for him and i think he looks so cute! our hairstylist got another stylist to fix this hair for him and a humongous amount of gel was used. haha.

i seldom wear red and i don’t even own a toga so i’m actually quite looking forward to wearing this gown.

again i have this exaggerated hairpiece on my head. and the photographer made me do really difficult poses in this gown i don’t know why.

and i was so hungry. i think i didn’t smile much in this series.

time to go outdoors! our initial plan was to go to the botanical gardens and marina barrage but it was raining the whole day yesterday so we changed our plans and went to the parliament house instead but we kept to marina barrage though.

finally i have a simple hairstyle with 100% my own hair but the hairband was too tight and i had to take it out halfway through the parliament house shoot.

yining makes a pretty good photographer i must say.

okay a typical walk, turn around and smile shot.

at the barrage where i changed into my last gown which in the end still didn’t fit me very well and by now, i’ve pulled out the veil and looked nothing like a bride. haha.

and when i saw the water playground, i got so excited and jumped into the water. it was really fun to get drenched and all you know.

all wet and cold as it was still drizzling but we had alot of fun.

at the end of the day. my hair all ruined and my makeup all smudged. it was really tiring but we’ve really enjoyed the process! i’ll post the other photos in facebook so check that out too.
credits to yining for helping me out, henry, the photographer and amanda, the makeup artist. looking forward to the photo selection! =)
just

fen is so sweet. she just sms me to tell me not to drink too much water before sleep if not tomorrow morning will have puffy eyes.
yun is so funny. she just called and we were yakking for half an hour about things i can’t really remember now except that she is currently watching an old mediacorp show by zoe tay and li nan xing called the unbeatables aka 双天至尊.
yining is so good. she’s gonna accompany me to the photo shoot tomorrow to be my behind-the-scenes photographer and also to help me change during the outdoor shoots.
i have great friends! =D
photo shoot tomorrow!
so almost everyone made the right guess about the gown i chose for my wedding day and i’m glad that so far all the comments i’ve received are positive. thank you! =) wj and i went for the fitting last sunday and i think further alteration is needed to tighten some of the gowns as they were still quite loose on me. wj’s family came along too and his mum was saying that i looked very skinny in the gowns. i should be putting on more weight.
anyway tomorrow is the photo shoot and i went to do my nails yesterday. it’s such a torture to have to sit still for one hour while the manicurist fix my finger and toe nails. i am not somebody who can stay still without moving for even 10 minutes so you can imagine how bored i felt especially while waiting for the fan to blow my nails dry. the girl next to me was sitting so still that at one point i thought she was frozen or something. oh well i guess it was all worth it because i now have really pretty and glossy peach color nails.
by the way i caught two really gruesome movies over the weekend and i am still feeling rather sick. drag me to hell is so crappy and gross and i think it makes no sense. it seems like the purpose of the movie is to make people feel disgusted. i thought the horsemen, starring ziyi zhang, had a better storyline but somehow i seem to see shadows of anthony hopkins’ hannibal in the movie.
